The Scanning Process

Multiple wireframes are analyzed and glued together creating a cohesive model.
Next, surface texture maps are joined and blended, eliminating seams. Models are then further processed to eliminate statistical noise and reduce excessive polygons.

The Model is placed in front of the scanner.
Multiple scans are made from all angles in order to capture the object's detail and geometry.

A separate point cloud is generated from each scan. Scan data is processed resulting in a wireframe mesh.

A solid preview is analyzed during the scanning process ensuring scan fidlity and continuity.

Textures are mapped onto the model and test renderings are produced. The completed model scan is then suitable for importation into any major animation application.
