Who is Impact Studios?
Impact Studios is full-service media and communications company dedicated to providing businesses with innovative, and more importantly, useful technology-based tools to ensure their success.
Impact Studios is an entrepreneurial operation that maintains a position at the forefront of electronic technology. As part of this initiative, in 1998 we installed what remains New England's only 3D laser scanning system.
Today, we have three systems installed and have developed many proprietary scanning techniques. Impact Studios maintains a close relationship with the scanner manufacturer and we continually provide them with sought-after feedback used to develop future-generation scanners.
What is 3D Laser Scanning?
3D laser scanning is a revolutionary technology that allows the cost-effective creation of three dimensional electronic images that are indistinguishable from the real item when printed and viewed on-screen.Laser scanning is used successfully in many business applications to reduce product development costs and to create 3D models of items for which no CAD files exist and to manipulate fragile items that are difficult to handle.
We have scanned items for industrial manufacturers, e-tailers, and computer graphics companies.
